Netflix has released both the official trailer and poster for its upcoming dark comedy SACRIFICE, which arrives on the platform October 16, 2026. The film made its world premiere in the Special Presentations lineup at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.
Directed by Romain Gavras and co‑written by Gavras and Will Arbery, Sacrifice features a formidable ensemble cast including Chris Evans, Anya Taylor‑Joy, Vincent Cassel, Sam Richardson, John Malkovich, and Salma Hayek.
The story unfolds during an opulent charity gala overflowing with celebrities, billionaires, and hollow speeches. In the midst of an existential spiral, a movie star (Evans) is seized by a radical insurgent (Taylor‑Joy) and her loyal cadre. As the night unravels into pandemonium, the film charts both an inward reckoning and an outward odyssey, blurring the boundaries between performance and conviction, redemption and ruin.
