Laika’s upcoming feature Wildwood looks nothing short of astonishing. The imagery would be impressive in any format, but the fact that it’s all achieved through stop‑motion animation feels almost unreal. The craftsmanship is breathtaking. Still, visuals alone can’t carry a film—if they aren’t in service of a resonant emotional narrative, the spectacle won’t matter.
The final trailer for Wildwood has now arrived, and it certainly suggests everything is falling into place. Director Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings, Masters of the Universe) has assembled an exceptional voice cast to bring this enchanted world to life.
