Meanwhile, Alicent faces the grim realization that her children were never fit for the Iron Throne, especially as a scarred Aegon plots to destroy his own brother, Aemond. Even Criston Cole looks utterly defeated, a development that is as satisfying as it is expected given his villainous reputation.
