Parsons, whose viral YouTube series captivated millions, now expands his signature vision into a full-scale cinematic event, following a lone camera operator as they navigate a blinding, disorienting, and relentlessly infinite environment. It’s a glimpse into a nightmare that feels all too real—and it’s only the beginning.
Now that’s becoming a feature with a cast including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, and Mark Duplass, none of whom appear in this creepy first look.
A24 will release Backrooms on May 29, in the heart of the summer movie season.
