AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY – MOVIE TEASER

LONG THAI

The fourth Doomsday teaser takes an unexpected turn, swerving instead of following the path many might have anticipated. After last week’s high‑octane X‑Men preview, the tone shifts back to something quieter but far more ominous as we revisit Wakanda and Talokan in the aftermath of Wakanda Forever. Shuri is still grappling with the devastating losses in her family, while Namor remains watchful beneath the waves. That somber mood is interrupted when Shuri and M’Baku encounter a surprising newcomer: Ben Grimm of the Fantastic Four.

After their quick arrival into the main MCU timeline during the Thunderbolts post‑credits scene, this marks our first real look at the Fantastic Four stepping into the larger Marvel universe—and it’s a delightful moment. It’s an especially fitting crossover given Namor’s long comic‑book history with the team, so even though he’s not part of this particular introduction, it’s satisfying to see these two branches of the MCU finally intersect.

It’s an unexpected direction for one of these teasers. The previous three leaned heavily on major, crowd‑pleasing returns—Chris Evans stepping back in as Steve Rogers, Thor rejoining the fray, and the nod to the Fox-era X‑Men films. By comparison, this one feels more understated, though no less intriguing. And it keeps prolonging the big question: will any of these previews finally reveal Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom? With a member of the Fantastic Four now entering the picture, that moment feels a little closer.

It remains to be seen whether this marks the end of the Doomsday previews—early chatter suggested the campaign would stop at four—or whether Marvel plans to keep the momentum going while the box office is still riding its Pandora‑fueled high. What’s especially curious is that, unlike previous teaser drops, Marvel has kept a livestream running that counts down to Doomsday’s December 18 release. That raises the question of whether more footage might drop later today, or if we’re headed for another extended, spectacle‑style moment like the original cast reveal.
