It feels like we’ve been waiting nearly as long as Aang spent frozen for the live‑action The Last Airbender to return—and the anticipation has been especially intense for one big reason. Season two is finally introducing one of the animated series’ most beloved characters, Toph Beifong, so it’s no shock that our first glimpse of the new season puts her front and center.
Of course, aside from Toph herself narrating the trailer, we get to see a little of how the show will handle her earthbending skills, but we also get to see how the show is going to approach her blindness, taking a desaturated, thrumming effect to show her use of sound and vibrations to echolocate her surroundings.
The live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender returns to Netflix some time in 2026.
