Announced in a press release today, Universal Studios has officially revealed the “Dark Universe,” the name for its monster cinematic universe starting with Tom Cruise in The Mummy next month. Bride of Frankenstein, due out February 14, 2019, will be directed by Beauty and the Beast’s Bill Condon with casting underway.
Universal has also confirmed that Johnny Depp and Javier Bardem will be joining the Dark Universe as the Invisible Man and Frankenstein’s Monster, respectively, in future films in this new cinematic world.
