A new poster for the live-action adaptation of the hugely successful manga/anime Attack on Titan has been released with our first look at the live-action Colossal Titan.
Via Anime News Network,
Hajime Isayama‘s original manga (pictured right) depicts the battles between humans and the giants who now rule the world outside humans’ walled enclaves. An archetypal colossal Titan in the manga and the television anime was about 60 meters (about 200 feet) tall. However, the live-action films’ colossal Titan is 120 meters (about 400 feet or 30 stories) tall — towering over even the 108-meter (350-foot) height of the tallest movie Godzilla ever, the monster from Garth Edwards and Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla film this year.
The live-action Attack on Titan films do not employ just CG, but also tokusatsu (special-effects) techniques to create its realistic colossal Titan.
The taglines for the poster read:
Attack on Summer 2015.
