Nearly every weekend for about the past year, I have had the privilege of shooting the new faces that are rescued on a weekly basis by Buster’s Friends of Houston. Every week, I shoot canines of all sizes and breeds, but all with big hearts looking to give their unconditional love for a place to call home. I’ve seen pups abandoned and abused, injured and wounded, and yet always willing to be loyal to whomever will give them love, attention, food and shelter. Unfortunately, I have rarely been able to shoot the felines due to my allergies, but thankfully Amy Brennan has been able to shoot the felines for the rescue group. I do this for no compensation but for the weekly photography exercise of shooting subjects of all temperaments, and yet I find it to have been some of the most rewarding photography that I have ever done in my life.
Here are these week’s newest additions to the Buster’s Friends Rescue. If you would like to see the entire group of pets available for adoption through Buster’s Friends, please visit www.bustersfriends.org.
